Introducing Jesus
A four session course which introduces the person who is at the heart of the Christian faith.
The course offers an opportunity for people to find out what Christians believe, and gives space for discussion. It is partly based on the film, So Who is this Jesus?
The four sessions cover the following topics
1. The existence of God and the question of how, if God exists, we can know what he is like.
2. Why we mess up and hurt other people and ourselves. The course explores what it means in the baptism service when we call Jesus 'Saviour', and gives us opportunity to reflect on the death of Jesus.
3. What the good life is. What it means when we say in the baptism service that we 'submit to Christ as Lord', and why we should consider submitting to Jesus.
4. Considers evidence behind the claim that Jesus rose from the dead, how a person might meet with Jesus, and what it means to live as a follower of Jesus today.
